Good morning Jure,
I hope you are doing well. As you have helped us to prepare for the next breeding season and look after the baby chicks, I wanted to give you a first-hand update. We are very busy and in the photos attached you’ll see our team at work.
Because of you we can now:
1a. Build and install new nests
1b. Un-tye knots out of ropes ;)
2. Repaire last years’ nests
3. Move out bees from some of the nests
Until the end of November, our team will continue to work hard to provide all the loving Macaw pairs with a nest of their own, enabled by your support!
Other news on Rose, the famous Scarlet Macaw chick who we rescued after she was poached. Together with her new friends, she is being prepared for a life in the wild and she is doing extremely well. We think that with only a few weeks more she will be ready for release and I will make sure to let you know when, so you can tune in to see her fly free!
Helping future chicks like Rose and building new Love Nests has been possible because of your wonderful gift. Thank you for helping Costa Rica’s Macaws recover from the threat of extinction.
Many wishes to you and we’ll speak again soon,
Sarah
