Hello, my news server missed this reply, I took it off Google. --- Begin what you wrote --- CyberLegend aka Jure Sah wrote in message news:<3EA69473.6AED8A0B@guest.arnes.si>... > Acme Debugging wrote: > > So why worry about emotions, art, AI robotics, "minds," and "thinking" > > now? I just pictured Spock asking the computer how to build an AI robot, thought it sounded cute. Maybe some small truth in it, but then there's some small truth in everything. ---- End what you wrote ---- It is an interesting one and a good way to get yourself interested, but when it comes down to making something (never depend on people you don't know when it comes to coding or you won't get much), you need to view it from the practical POV to even get started. You would have to begin right off thinking how you will use your program and for what and how you will turn it to something anyone would actualy use or it won't be particulary popular. --- Begin what you wrote --- > However, we have been sitting around, waiting for everything to come > first anyway and to our big supprize, nothing had happened. Thanks. ---- End what you wrote ---- The only problem we encountered was that philosophers may have a perfect mind right infront of them and still claim it isn't real AI, prefferably because it's not yellow and squishy inside, you get what I mean. In this view 'real' AI will never be created. ;] In the more practical sense, AI is very welcome in your software, because it thinks instead of the user or the technical support. There's where it shows if you've really made AI or just another fake. --- Begin what you wrote --- > > Or, since some of us seem fully programmable, maybe we could just > > program ourselves to remove the imperfections, then ask ourselves. > > > > Or maybe meet halfway. > Sounds like it's time to get to work. Tell me what you get. ;] Friends and relatives who won't talk to me. ---- End what you wrote ---- Your work is theorethical still?
