Hi there, I've been to your site and found we have a lot in common. Erm, or at least it seems so. According to my experience, ppl that have a lot in common with me, make good penfriends. =] I came accross your site, when I last updated my "Mind on fire" document (a set of my random thoughts; the title appeared most appropriate) and did a web search (taking my suspicious luck into account, it would nearly be a must I found something like your site and a book describing my ideas with such a title). In case the things on the page best describe you, I could mention some relevant stuff about me: I am a computer-geek, always interested in information systems and addicted to science. I have always wanted to get to learn Russian, but never got round to be doing anything in that direction. When I am not in class or studying, you can find me working at my job as a network-maker software devoloper. The story of the rest of my free time is much like your own. The part about people contacting me, much like yours again, I even include a line like "Don't feel bad about asking/telling me anything, I will always gladly reply" in my signature file. =] I live in Slovenia, Ljubljana. I case you've never heard of it, take a look on some map of central Europe; it's a very small, chicken-shaped country. The place is very green and atho it's the capital city, it's center is very small; it's a nice place to live. I too adore cats, and all you say about yourself regarding cats is also true about me. =] I saved one from sure death and brought it to the city from the mountains; it's an XY kind: white, with black spots and a black tail, otherwise an ordinary cat; (1). My sister takes care of that kitten now (now 6 years old, it's a true city cat, thinking of only two things: Food and sleep! ;). Innitialy I kind of taked care of that cat and thought it everything a cat needs to know, but it appeared she'll be best off with my sister. (1) = We were good friends with her mother, the one very good mother that wanted to take care of all of us (a few years ago, when she died, I somehow felt it regardless of the fact that she was kilometers away). I find that the only thing I disagree with you about is the part about how pets should be treated. I understand pets much the same way I do people (and the other way around ;). Spaying is a no-no to me, something terible to do and I was very sad when my parents had got my dear kitten spayed (which had jumped off the 1. floor apparment 3 times before for a nice black cat downtown; if you ask me, it must have been worth it! ;). And then when you write about how cats are better than guys -- hey, I'm a guy! =] -- you miss out one small little detail, that cats do speak, just not with words (2) and if yours dosen't say anything bad about you, it must be just that he loves you so much, cause er, mine sometimes tells me stuff that couldn't be sorted amongst the positive (she hates the fact that I understand her, she just want's to be my sister's little kitten). (2) = It's an awesome feeling to be telling somebody something without using or thinking of words. When I tried it I found that the word-based language we humans use is just so imperfect that it isn't worth using them (note that I perfectly master Slovenian and English (and Basic ;), so I kind of know what is meaning all about, because there are some words in either language that cannot be translated to the other). I hope you at least had fun reading this if you won't reply in the end. C'ya! -- Cellphone: 0038640809676 Don't feel bad about asking/telling me anything, I will always gladly reply.
