Even around large groups of weres, primarily you know what I've seen? _perfectly normal eye colors the whole time I saw them_. A _lot_ of what I see among people who claim the eye color change thing is that they have _hazel_ eyes, or eyes that are not a terribly bright color. And if their eye color looks slightly different in a slightly different light, or maybe changes a little due to their mental state, they start going "Look! Now theyre bright green!"... and they're like... a muddy brownish green, instead of a muddy greenish brown.
I know, if anyone would look me in the eyes they wouldn't notice the yellow either. To have actual yellow eyes would be a bit of a holy grail for me. But then again the colour itself... if you whatch documentaries and such, wolves do have this yellow-brownish eyecolour. With these colours it's hard to tell from a distance (and from behind glasses) but often when they show wolves in documentaries I go like "gee didn't I just see that pair this morning in the mirror?". The point that the colour is actually changing tho is evident to me because I've seen diffirent colours at in the bathroom (mirror), which has no windows, only static artificial light. There is something one has to realize tho. The coloured bit of the eyes is actualy a lot of muscle! As such, there are many tiny transparent venes in there and we know that blood colour can change depending on the oxygen content and that the venes themselves can change in diameter slightly, adding to the color diffirence. These matters are all stress-related, so it is all perfectly scientific and understandable.
