When I was younger I would always have this idea in my mind that I and the people around me should not look human, but well, something diffirent. This drive was strong enough that, being a computer geek, I started putting togather pictures of animals and people or alter photos of people, merge and mold them togather until I thought they looked the way they should. 

I have used various animals crocs, bears, I would be replacing the palms with feet on the photos until they would look like paws, anything I could think of and yet every time I've felt there was something amiss in the pictures, so I was always looking for photos of more animals I could work with. So one day I would search for wolf pictures, I've found the pic of a wolf and it looked fine to me, like I did not have to change anything. Intrigued, I sought out other stuff that relates to wolves, and amongst other things I've found the AHWw FAQ, read the whole bulk of it the moment I found it, found myself most interested in the matter and never looked back.  :) 

The other bit I like to mention regarding how I came to be, would be the very vivid dream I had of being a wolf in a dust desert, which is where my name is from. The dream was well, one word: Awesome.  }:}
