Basicaly, I know if I gave my games to anybody to play them with me online, the first thing on my mind would be that the other person would not need to mess with the setup too much manualy and that I won't compromise the security of his/her computer. This software package has very tough security and an open design to allow things (including the installation and setup) to be automated very easily, for real and effectively. Plus, if you're making not games, but programs, that accumulate information that has to be kept confidential, the tough security (includes encryption) will be something very appropriate. Also, you can send the infromation your program needs to send in easily debuggable plain text without wasting bandwidth, because the data will be automaticaly compressed (only when needed; this is how I get 12 kbps on my puny dailup). I might also mention the program package has a powerfull, but not obligatory copyprotection system (to prevent unauthorized duplication), which anyone can easily spread onto other programs added to the package later. There are also things in the package that can be put to good use in distribution of the software to friends, such as structures that tell your program into what directory it is installed, programs that repair damaged/deleted plain-text databanks of your programs, find lost files, etc. Then there is a cute universal setup utility that works with plain-text databanks and only requires you to write a script for it to fit the demands of your program. There are also a few programs that help with the debugging (such as the utility that combines log files and rearanges lines to show the true series of events according to time stamps) and for example a program that lets you browse plain text databanks. Of course with this you have to make your programs use more and more of the package's methods/standards. I know the website looks like our interests are someplace else, but we are fully willing to adapt to the needs of other programers, since it is in our great interest that others join our effort in any way. That is, the end goal of the software package is actualy to create a friendly environment for usefull artificial intelligence to evolve, but I won't bother you with that. Still very practicaly, what you have is a free ride across the Internet for your software.
