The temperatures are about 30 deg. Celsius around here, luckily in the basement it's about 5 degres lower. Because I preffer cold over warm, I can't really live anytwhere else than here, in this cold spot, still with a fan blowing cold air into my face as I type... =] Ryan Morris wrote: > P.S. I've finnished off the new simulator and it works exactly as planed: Just like if servers were seleceted on pure random, just that it starts acting in some order, when a server is either taskless or overloaded. While programing I noticed that the preformance depends on the status reporting interval, so I killed it and set up a special system --> now status reports are sent when status changes only. Also, In this simulation, interfaces constantly update their processor pick pools, so most of the time, changing the pool shape, but not their contents. In reality, interfaces should recalculate their processor pick pools whenever they recieve a status update. The recalculation takes 1/2 a second on my 486, so I dare not think if a server would even bother to notice that process. The fact that the simulation program is on a computer that is less than 1/2 a meter away from this one, but I still can't transfer it because the floppy drives are broken on mine, is absolutely nerve-boiling to me. You'll have to take my word for it that this system works better than any other so far. I don't think we can come up with anything better right now, but I'd be ready to see a better one at work! =] Also, what do we call this Web Changer thing? I'll try and resist the temptation of calling it WC! =] ;] =] Sorry if there are any odd spelling errors, beacuse the monitor is on the floor and I am on a chair, It's quite a distance and my eyes aren't too good at distances. Ah, just found one "ar work"... Fixed! =] -- Don't feel bad about asking/telling me anything, I will always gladly reply. Wish you a lot of theta brain-waves!!
