Hello, I've just been wondering, anyone else notice how in human society everything revolves around eyesight? I have had several Attribute shifts, that made me hypersensitive to the other two senses and by now, they are no longer shifts, but are just there all along. But there are so many things that proove humans prefer vision over all else. For example, walking accross the street with your eyes tied would be considered sueccide; to me, wearing something around the ears while doing the same is something that feels like sueccide instead. Using sounds it is just so much easier to analize the traffic circumstances, the number of cars around, their speed, intentions of the drivers... it's all in the sound and sound works 360° unlike vision which is directed. Then there is scent... for example I could never understand why the entire human race would want to smell like soap. Well this only works on cannines, but using scent I can tell somebody's gender or level of sexual maturity, their position in society and their physiological state. Instead people really preffer to waste this aspect and they seem pretty arrogant about the people who are sensitive to it. For example, once here in the neighbourhood, a residental block owner sprayed the parks in front of it with some of that dog repelent that makes them think twice about pooping there... well it was unbearable, so I was forced to find a diffirent way home from school. But in the real-life situation, when trying to use hearing or sensitivity to smell to give you an edge in your abbility to compete for survival... it's pretty useless. The only time I could actually productively utilize my sensitivity to smell was in forecasting the weather or sniffing out a computer for diffirent concentrations of silicon vapours to find the component that fried and needs to be replaced. What about you? Comments?
