Selecting for high-performing genes through directed evolution, she's produced viruses that can construct powerful new batteries, clean hydrogen fuels and record-breaking solar cells. At TEDxCaltech, she shows us how it's done. [04:03:59] nairboon: according to the wp article on coofee (atleast) it's both good'n bad things about it. [04:04:39] nairboon: but I have sort of come to the conclusion that perhaps it's not that good. stresses the system etc. [04:06:59] nairboon: and also the things that it good about it either doesn't apply to me or are stuff that I can get from other sources. soo.. right now I try to live without it (again). [04:07:59] nairboon: also because I get hyper on one cup, 1/2 cup is more selfmedicative dose that actually makes my concentration work better. [04:08:13] nairboon: but it's hard to just stay on 1/2 cup for me. [04:08:27] nairboon: atleast if someone else make it and more is around. [04:15:20] nairboon: also don't like to be dependent on to much things. for ex coffee to be able to make my brain work. but you need to consume about 800mg a day for that to happen, then you need about 200mg to make your brain function normaly (as it does on people not consuming caffein). [04:16:02] 800mg is to much for me. I usually drink at maximum 2 cups a day. [04:16:55] but it still affects how I work in a way I don't really like. it goes from first being something I drink occasionaly because I like it, to something I take everytime I'm feeling a bit tired, instead of fixing the problem of why i'm feeling tired. [04:17:06] (to little sleep, not eating enough etc..) [04:17:37] so I want to revers it so that I only drink in exceptional cases. if I manage to hold it that way... [04:17:52] easy to get sucked in in coffee habits when other people are drinking :-) [04:18:02] time to sleep. [04:20:20] (another thing is that it takes aprox 3 days until your body has gotten acustomed to the amount of caffein your drinking, so you usually have to up the dosage to get a greater effect) [04:22:06] (so after 3 days of drinking 3 cups of coffee you could aswell be without it. if you only think about the rush/effect you get) [04:22:24] (atleast so I have read) [04:24:33] (also caffein is an anti-nutrient so it should not be consumed directly after dinner, even thou that's usually the case atleast here in scandinavia) [04:37:48] *** Quits: jscinoz (jscinoz@RBOSE-rdhsrj.tpgi.com.au) (Ping timeout: 241 seconds) [04:40:51] *** Joins: jscinoz (jscinoz@RBOSE-rdhsrj.tpgi.com.au) [04:50:38] *** Quits: jscinoz (jscinoz@RBOSE-rdhsrj.tpgi.com.au) (Quit: leaving) [06:38:45] there's also guarana [06:39:19] highly more effective with a lot more coffein [06:39:58] but it is sympton solving :/ [06:40:42] maybe meditation is a possible solution, but i'm to lazy for that xD [07:10:53] *** Joins: Sixth_Ape2 (sixth_ape@RBOSE-7oj9c5.mweb.co.za) [07:11:02] *** Quits: Sixth_Ape2 (sixth_ape@RBOSE-7oj9c5.mweb.co.za) (Quit: Nettalk6 - www.ntalk.de) [07:11:17] *** Joins: iamme (iamme@RBOSE-aht.l9e.26.41.IP) [08:15:20] *** Quits: iamme (iamme@RBOSE-aht.l9e.26.41.IP) (Ping timeout: 241 seconds) [08:22:18] *** Joins: iamme (iamme@RBOSE-me7.2he.28.41.IP) [08:22:27] *** Quits: iamme (iamme@RBOSE-me7.2he.28.41.IP) (Connection closed) [08:22:51] *** Joins: iamme (iamme@RBOSE-me7.2he.28.41.IP) [09:26:14] *** Joins: iamme2 (iamme@RBOSE-bb1.i63.31.41.IP) [09:29:34] *** Quits: iamme (iamme@RBOSE-me7.2he.28.41.IP) (Ping timeout: 241 seconds) [09:45:35] *** Quits: iamme2 (iamme@RBOSE-bb1.i63.31.41.IP) (Ping timeout: 241 seconds) [10:05:59] *** Joins: diogenez (Administrator@RBOSE-ppj9nn.ph.cox.net) [10:33:55] hi folks [10:39:12] `fortune [10:39:12] Evil: You'll be sorry...
