That's [18:28:33] this guys does a small amount of it [18:28:38] and talks a lot about ratios [18:30:18] isn't it just making a rocket mass heater or alike, burn that wood til it's cute coal pieces left, use them 50 50 with good soil [18:30:23] and bam you have enriched soil [18:46:12] *** Quits: Kimsan (kim@RBOSE-b8raf0.cust.bredbandsbolaget.se) (Ping timeout: 241 seconds) [18:55:49] *** Joins: Mulder (qwebirc@RBOSE-mqf.qvp.62.109.IP) [18:59:53] *** Joins: Mulder_ (qwebirc@RBOSE-mqf.qvp.62.109.IP) [19:00:04] Hello! Its quite different from just burning stuff and putting the coal in the soil. Gasifying the biomass and burning the run-off gases gives a complete combustion, minimizing the pollution. [21:37:03] Also, since its done at high temperatures, less particles are released into the atmosphere. Made correctly, biochar pyrolysis produces no smoke. [21:37:46] Iv found two models im going to try. One for small scale (half a litre portions) and one for larger scale (the 55 gallon drum design). [21:38:26] yes that's why you need to master the rocket mass heater concept [21:38:35] since, as far as I know, the idea behind it is to burn as much as possible [21:39:01] "you need to" <- hmm I mean, that's probably one way to do it :) [21:47:07] Yes, but all the designs i have seen burn with oxygen access. But i suppose adapting a rocket for biochar production would be possible. [21:47:12] One thing at a time ^^ [21:53:06] ah pure oxygen? [21:53:12] that requires advance things probably [21:53:15] oxygen tanks [21:53:17] pipes [21:53:25] ;D [21:58:52] *** Quits: nairboon (nairboon@RBOSE-vi8rlf.cust.bluewin.ch) (Quit: Leaving.) [22:01:46] No, not pure, just the atmospheric mixture. Air ^^ [22:01:57] ok [22:02:01] you can do that with rocket mass heater [22:02:04] I hope, i guess [22:02:07] from what I've seen [22:02:21] but speaking from a youtuber perspective, not having done it myself, my words don't really mean much [22:08:20] *** Quits: ZyaX (9jti8d8@RBOSE-5lntnm.bredband.comhem.se) (Ping timeout: 241 seconds) [23:32:12] *** Joins: BranManFloMore (BranManFloMor@RBOSE-i97fcv.biz.rr.com) [23:32:12] *** BranManFloMore is now known as 1DEAAAAZ9 [23:32:13] *** Joins: BranManFloMore (BranManFloMor@RBOSE-i97fcv.biz.rr.com) [23:32:16] *** Quits: 1DEAAAAZ9 (BranManFloMor@RBOSE-i97fcv.biz.rr.com) (Connection closed) [23:32:18] *** Quits: BranManFloMore (BranManFloMor@RBOSE-i97fcv.biz.rr.com) (Quit: Leaving.)
