Lycanthrope (lycanthropy) is, in psychological terms, one who has a mental illness in which they believe that they are an animal (not exactly a wolf). Do not use this term when referring to Therianthropy.. Not only can it be insulting, but it is an inaccurate portrayal of the Were community.
