I have sent you a page with links to the company's sites.

There are loads of free (and/or public-domain) programs around that can

do this. In fact I have seen a copy of one written in Quick Basic

(intranslatable to VB however), which makes me think there simply *must*

be one in Visual Basic or VC++.

If there would ever to be any speech to text automated translation, we

would have made a very net-wise cheap method of voice communications.

Sure.

I was looking into "Open PIP" and realized that the objectives at their

end seem much like ours. This is either a great oppurtunity for

cooperation or some deadly competition. I'll peek in at the authors to

get the status without giving off much information about us. It could as

well be that the published is an outdated school project or something

and that the authors are not working on it anymore.

In either case, we could get off with some more usefull information. At

the very least, we've got what is in the "Project.pdf" from their site.

Atho it's a teribly silly way of creating global databases (databases

that are located on multiple Internet connected computers at once),

which was, btw, solved by the implementation of our IOS; it *does*

contain usefull information about our yet-to-be-built FTP support. I

will look into it.

I will atempt to contact the server using some other software, so I can

set up some files to debug with, at least.
