I don't think there would be much sense in you making an interface

program do exactly what the Console already does. That is for the ID

stuff. IP managment can be done by the Console pretty well, your

communication program can even use the Console's services if it needs

the data.

All I would need in the ICSA program would be the communcation itself, I

can handle the IP addresses, don't worry.

I have to say however that all the stuff you mentioned as features is

implentable with the Console, so no matter the fact that I'll be about a

diffirent program, it'll all be done.

The structure would be, by my ideas, such that all programs send

transmisions via the Console, where most problems would be treated. The

Console would then pass the message, with a destination IP label to

ICSA. The ICSA on the other end would simply recieve the transmission

and pass it to the local Console for further handling.

The basic procedures such as FTP or plain communications would then

require to be built in the Console or be more important than the

remaining programs working with the Console. Plain communications, as

you know, is already implented in the Console. FTP however is quite too

complicated, so it would be as a command to a built-in feature of the

Console, but the Console would then forward the command, equiped with an

appropriate destination IP, to a FTP handler, who would use the file and

transmit it trough ICSA.

Attached Works.Bmp shows how a FTP job is preformed (blue is a request,

red is a command, the pointers show which way has information gone),

also Works2.Bmp shows how an ordinary job is done. I hope you can see

what's in the pictures, I had to reduce their size for filesize reasons.

So this is less work for you... Simply put something into the ICSA that

will read a file containing the text and the "To:" IP address and write

a file on the other end.

C'ya!
