The little but important problem here is where I am. Normaly, your

(Neil's) ideas of the thing are closer to mine, so guess what would I

preffer making. On the other side, I would not want a market (t.i. a set

of people) existing out there who cannot make use of my product because

of some issue that can be resolved now.

My ideal situation here would be living off govenment money, working in

an utterly academic type of devolopment and giving the latest ICI away

as a free download. But this is not the reality, we will have to sell

ICI if we want to get something off it. I see here that Harold is a good

'way' of getting this thing sold. Like in the case of

people-working-on-selling-software with Microsoft, I well understand

that Harold will be in the way of our academic type of devolopment. Not

that there is no other type of devolopment other than the academic one,

but the alternative sucks as hard as Microsoft software or possibly even

worse.

Your (Neil's) splitting of the project into a more commercialy sellable

PV and a more academicaly usefull IV is logical and good for the

situation, but the question is now what I am working on, because you

just doubled the work for me.

While I was previously doing my best on the simplest, most universal and

powerfull version, I now have to think about what is to be sticked in a

PV, which is more profitable and what into a IV, which is better in

design (which even brings up a compatibility issue). You guys sure know

how to keep things simple. =]

Right now, I'd be best off working on the IV and leave the PV for

somebody else to work on, which is what you (Harold) probably don't

want. Or maybe? I don't know, but what I do know is that working on TWO

instances of the same code is utter pain-sticking work, which I can't

want to even imagine or think of without getting an immediate headache!

Please sort it out, before I get any further split-idea

commands/suggestions form each of you.
