Reminds me, I have been once working on a little something similar. It

was composing melodies for mobile phones and used multi-layer patterns

with randomization in place. It created quite nice melodies but not

particularly impressing ones, I guess I might have not defined the

patterns very well.

Anyway, if you're making something that uses multiple instruments and

patterns, I can send over some information about the standard instrument

specific melody patterns, I know quite a few for various styles.

I'm sure Neil will be glad to hear that. (Forwarded; hope you don't

mind.)

I can't do that, but I've forwarded this part to Ryan, he is the Admin

and will probably be able to fix the problem.

Well, as usual I am programming and worrying about school

simultaneously. =] Programming is very exciting and it sometimes does

seem like the "I can't save the world, cause I've got to do my

homework." scenario. Interesting indeed, eh?

Simmilary interesting was the life of another geek whom I've just met,

he dosen't specialize in computers, howerver, but in weapons. I think

saying that he was blown off the third floor in a block off apartments

while trying to make explosives tells enough about him. He had a lot to

say about how illegal things look like and we concluede that our lives

are quite similar, his spent on the streets, robbing skaters to make

money and mine spent behind a computer, programming to make money. =]

I have been devoloping ideas of collective inteligence lately, which

comes well with the current situation of the ICI network I am working

on. Next to fixing bugs, I am also working on a cooperation

architecture, which will eventualy end up with something that could

support nice neural nets or genetic algorithms.

I would only ask you to think sometime a bit about anything that could

be implented in a collective of equal units. (ou've surely heard about

the Borg, well it's soemthing like that. ;)

C'ya!
